چکیده

The lock-in amplifier can be used in instrumentation systems as a part of the conditioning circuit that optimizes and supports the signals coming from sensors, being capable of measuring the electrical impedance (or admittance) of such sensors, by exciting them with a local oscillator. In industrial environments and research laboratories, it is important to ensure that the level of current passing through the sensor, usually called Device Under Test (DUT), does not exceed the tolerance and safety limits: 10 mA to 30 mA. In this paper, we proposed the design of a lock-in amplifier with a current-mode oscillator to ensure that the current level is below the tolerance limits. A current-mode Wien oscillator was used based on Current Conveyors, a current-mode building block. Through simulations and experimental measurements, we could check the operation of the designed circuit, pointing out some comparisons with the traditional lockin amplifier with voltage-mode oscillator.

Design of a High Range, High Efficiency Spread Spectrum Transmitter for Audio Communication Applications

This work proposes a direct sequence spread spectrum transmitter with high transmission range and efficiency for audio signals. It is shown that by choosing high process gain for spread spectrum signal the data could reach a range of 55km in the 2.4GHz ISM band. By employing a light modulation scheme, we have a relaxed SNR requirement for having a low bit error rate (BER) which translates to re...

The Lock-in Phenomenon in VIV using A Modified Wake Oscillator Model for both High and Low Mass-Damping Ratio

In the present paper the behavior of an elastically mounted cylinder in low and high mass-damping ratio is investigated. For high mass-damping ratio, a classical wake oscillator model is used. At the first, by neglecting all damping and nonlinear terms of this model, the possibility of using a linear model for determination of the lock-in range and the dominant mode is investigated. Then, w...

A Current-Mode Single-Resistance-Controlled Oscillator Employing VDCC and All Grounded Passive Elements

Realization of a novel single-resistance-controlled oscillator, employing an active element and all grounded passive elements, is the purpose of this manuscript. With requirements for completing the design being only a single Voltage Differencing Current Conveyor and four grounded passive components, it is also a preferable choice for integrated circuit implementation. The designed circuit has ...

Realization of Novel Cascadable Current-Mode All-pass Sections

This paper introduces four new resistorless circuits of first-order current-mode all-pass filter (CMAPF) based on dual-X current conveyor transconductance amplifier (DXCCTA). All the four circuits use a single DXCCTA and a capacitor for their realization. The main features of the proposed CMAPFs are: use of minimum active and passive components, resistorless realization, electronically adjustab...

An Ultra High CMRR Low Voltage Low Power Fully Differential Current Operational Amplifier (COA)

this paper presents a novel fully differential (FD) ultra high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) current operational amplifier (COA) with very low input impedance. Its FD structure that attenuates common mode signals over all stages grants ultra high CMRR and power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) that makes it suitable for mixed mode and accurate applications. Its performance is verified by HSPI...
